Kayvon Thibodeaux, Oregon. . player. 820. . .

Well, you had to know the Eagles would sit down with some defensive linemen.

Things have also changed for Kayvon Thibodeaux. Unfortunately, unlike Gardner, he seems to be headed in the wrong direction.

It wasn’t that long ago that he was seen by many as someone who had a chance at being taken first overall during the NFL Draft. Then, the red flags started popping up.

His motor has been questioned, and he didn’t help himself when, during the most recent NFL Scouting Combine, he elected against participating in on-field drills because he had a long day. No seriously, that’s what he said.

Theories exist that Thibodeaux, though talented, could slide to the Eagles in the middle of Round 1. What should they do then? While there’s no denying the former Oregon Ducks star is talented, it’s hard not to imagine scenarios of him quitting in the fourth quarter. As far as this young man is concerned, those aren’t questions that you want to be asked about you in April.

814. . . . Jordan Davis, Georgia. . player

There’s nothing wrong with being a one-trick pony at this stage of a future NFL star’s career if that prospect is excellent at that trick and it always works. It’s hard to look at the six-foot-six, 341-pound Jordan Davis without imagining him stuffing Ezekiel Elliott at the line, but many rate his teammate, fellow defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, higher.

Wyatt also visited the Eagles. He’s also six-foot-three, and he tips the scales at 304 pounds. Don’t rule either player out as first-round selections. As you know, Howie Roseman tends to add defensive tackles even when the more pressing needs are elsewhere.
