Jermaine Johnson. player. 804. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Florida State Seminole. 15

The Eagles address the EDGE position with the15th-overall selection.

NFL teams can never have enough pass rushers, and when discussing the Eagles’ style of roster building, mentions of the defensive line are inevitable. The argument can be made that Jermaine Johnson could be off of the board by the time Philadelphia is on the clock at 15, so the simulator looked out for us here.

After posting double-digit sacks in 2021, Johnson had everyone’s attention. That attention only increased following a First-team All-ACC nod, winning the ACC Defensive Player of the Year Award, and turning in shining performances at the Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine.

Simulation 2: Jameson Williams (Alabama wide receiver)

The Eagles land their dream wideout with the selection of Jameson Williams in the second simulation.

Simulation 3: George Karlaftis (Purdue EDGE)

The Eagles go with an edge rusher in the third simulation. Jermaine Johnson goes to the Baltimore Ravens at 14 here, making George Karlaftis the Eagles’ selection at 15.

Everyone sees him as one of the top five edge rushers in the 2022 draft class. Several draft pundits have him as one of their top three as only Aidan Hutchinson and Kayvon Thibodeaux are ranked higher.
