The Eagles get a veteran wide receiver (and he turns 25 in June).

Had nothing changed between a few hours before the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft and the start of training camp, Zach Pascal and Greg Ward would have been the elder statesmen in the Eagles’ wide receivers meeting room. While that shouldn’t be viewed as the final nail in any coffin, it isn’t the most ideal situation either.

Brown may only be 24 years old (he turns 25 in June), but he’s wise beyond his years. He had already developed into one of the leaders and the important voices in the Tennessee Titans’ locker room. If you’ll remember, he was largely responsible for convincing Julio Jones to pack his bags and head to Nashville. It won’t take him much time to develop into a strong voice in Philly’s wide receiver room too.

He already has the respect and admiration of his new signal-caller Jalen Hurts.

It won’t take him too much time to build a rapport with his other teammates as well. Rest assured. The Birds have that veteran presence many hoped they’d add at the position, and it comes in the form of a young man who thinks like a veteran who’s been in the league much longer.
