Miles Sanders racks up 925 yards rushing and 250 more yards as a receiver.

Sanders appeared in all 16 games during his rookie season but was forced out of action in the regular-season finale versus the New York Giants due to injury. He hasn’t appeared in more than 12 games since. Playing the NFL’s most punishing position, one that doesn’t come with an extended shelf life, and being a year older now, it doesn’t stand to reason that he’ll play in all 17 games this go around.

Sanders’ 179 totes as a rookie dipped to about 164 carries in 2020 before he had a career-low 137 carries a year ago. We’re going to cross our fingers and hope that, with a nice rotation that includes Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott, and, possibly, undrafted workhorse Kennedy Brooks, Miles should be able to suit up for 14 games this season.

Fingers are crossed.

Sanders has a career average of 5.1 yards per attempt due partially to, again, his ability to break one at any time. We didn’t see that a ton last year, but please don’t allow yourselves to believe he no longer has the ability.

Figure 165 attempts this season. We’re just throwing a reasonable number out there. At five yards per carry, that comes out to 825 rushing yards. We’ll throw in another 100 yards to account for a couple of big runs. We’re also looking for the Eagles coaching staff to get creative with ways to get him the ball and for Jalen Hurts to find him as a release valve on a check down from time to time, thus the 250 receiving yards.

That’s our story. We’re sticking to it.
