Here’s a list of four impressive young Eagles to keep tabs on.

As good as the Eagles’ offseason has been, they still have holes all over this roster. We’re concerned with where they are at safety. They need a workhorse running back. You can never have enough good offensive linemen. Take a gander at the guys in the next category.

The ‘Philadelphia Eagles may need to find room for these guys’ tier

7. Reed Blankenship, safety

If nothing changes between now and the start of training camp, the Eagles starting safeties figure to be Marcus Epps and Anthony Harris. That, in turn, means Jared Mayden and K’Von Wallace are the reserves.

Reed Blankenship, after racking up 419 tackles, nine interceptions, and three forced fumbles in 53 games at the collegiate level will have an opportunity to make this roster, especially if he can play on special teams. We’ve seen Philadelphia keep five safeties for that reason before.

6. Josh Sills, O-lineman

Josh Sills can play all five positions along the offensive line. Former first-round pick Andre Dillard can only play one. Let that sink in for a second.

5. William Dunkle, O-lineman

It’s hard not to like an interior offensive lineman that six-foot-five and tips the scales at well over 330 pounds, especially when he didn’t allow a single sack during his college football career… Enough said.

4. Josh Jobe, cornerback

Jalyn Armour-Davis and Josh Jobe were a solid starting duo for the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2021. Jobe’s late-season injury is probably what contributed to him going undrafted. He also got lost in coverage more than you’d like to see, but he’s potentially just as good as Zech McPhearson and fully capable of being a solid NFL safety if someone decides he should consider a position switch.
