The Eagles win all six games in the NFC East and sweep their divisional rivals.

Over the past two years, it has been a struggle for the Eagles to pick up wins against their rivals in the NFC East. Their record versus divisional competition during that span is 6-9-1. That isn’t good when every franchise knows the easiest route to securing a postseason berth comes by way of winning its division. That’s what made Andy Reid so successful for so long here and why he’s continued that success in Kansas City with the Chiefs.

Sweeping the NFC East won’t be easy. The Birds haven’t done so since the 2004 season, but if they’re able to do so during the coming campaign, maybe they can do something else the 2004 Eagles did, secure home-field advantage throughout the playoffs and reach the Super Bowl at season’s end.

Wouldn’t be nice to see the Eagles torch the Dallas Cowboys twice (instead of things going the other way)? Wouldn’t two wins versus the New York Giants be what the doctor ordered? The Eagles were able to accomplish the season sweep of Washington a year ago. They didn’t make it easy on themselves though, and the Commanders have improved. It’s definitely going to be weird to see Carson Wentz take the field for them as their starting quarterback this season.

Look, the East isn’t the toughest division in the NFC, and if Philadelphia wants to show the league they are ready to make a deep playoff run, these are the teams they need to prove they can bet consistently.
