. . . Boston Scott, running back. 8. player. 54

Boston Scott and Kyzir White are two talented Eagles that we probably don’t discuss enough.

Patience was key this offseason. Birds fans may not have had enough of it. Howie Roseman, though there were times that we hoped he’d move at a faster pace, exhibited plenty. There were a lot of things that worked out in the Eagles’ favor as a result.

Part of Philly’s offseason battle plan included investing some of their newfound coin in familiar faces that we’ve grown to trust, Boston Scott for instance. You won’t find any complaint in his one-year deal this way.

He’s reliable, and unlike Miles Sanders, he never seems to get hurt. We’ll see if he earns another deal at season’s end.

. . Kyzir White, linebacker. 7. player. 54.

Seeing as how we spend most of our time studying Eagles football, when it was announced that Kyzir White had been added, like most of you, our staff was forced to do a Google search. What we learned was satisfactory.

After being drafted as a safety in 2018, the L.A. Chargers moved him to linebacker. He’s undersized by some standards (he’s six-foot-two and 216 pounds), but he was handpicked by this coaching staff which leads us to believe they see him as the perfect scheme fit in Jonathan Gannon’s new-look defense. We’ll have to wait and see if that leads to a long-term deal.
