54. . . . K'Von Wallace, safety. 2. player

Might the Eagles part ways with two recent draftees?

The Eagles’ selection of K’Von Wallace seemed like a great idea when it happened. We had seen the Clemson Tigers move him all over the formation. He played deep and towards the line of scrimmage. We even saw him cover guys in the slot.

He’s gotten off to a slow start in Philly, other than a big play here or there, and if the Eagles keep four safeties on the 53-man roster, you have to wonder if Wallace will be among the bunch.

Andre Chachere is actually a better special teams player and proved to be a great gunner. Both are staring up on the depth chart at Marcus Epps, Anthony Harris, and Jaquiski Tartt. Philly has invited both Jared Mayden and Reed Blankenship to camp as well. This could be an intriguing competition.

54. . . . Marlon Tuipulotu, defensive tackle. 1. player

The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Marlon Tuipulotu during Round 6 of the 2021 NFL Draft with the 189th-overall selection, so they obviously see some value there. The second-year man isn’t safe though.

Let’s say the Birds keep four defensive tackles on the 53-man roster, a very real possibility. Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, Milton Williams, and Jordan Davis would all be on the 53-man roster if Philadelphia had to introduce one today.

That means Tuipulotu, Noah Elliss, Marvin Wilson, and Renell Wren have a lot of work to do. Making the team will be a huge uphill climb for all of them.
