We aren’t quite ready to kick them off of the roster, but for several Philadelphia Eagles, time is dwindling for them to make an impression.

It seems as though it’s been three weeks since training camp began, even if it hasn’t been. Once the final days of July approached, we were certain of a few things. The Philadelphia Eagles would be back at the NovaCare Complex on July 26th, the first practice would come a day later, there were several roster battles that we were finally going to earn an opportunity to watch, and there were several Birds, from rookies to veterans, that had a lot riding on what transpired over the course of a two-week span before the preseason began.

Anthony Harris was assured of a roster spot. Yes, he’ll make the team, but right now, that appears to be by default.

. . Anthony Harris, safety. 28. player. 54.

We spent most of the latter part of last season discussing all of this newfound cap space the Birds had and how they could upgrade at a few positions in free agency once they let guys like Anthony Harris walk.

When March finally arrived, they brought him back. For most, it was hard to make arguments that supported the decision to do so, and it’s gotten even more difficult to justify his continued employment with this Eagles franchise ever since. Heck, at least Andre Chachere picked off a couple of passes in camp.

Frankly, it’s hard to remember anything Harris has done other than sitting with the media after practice once. Oh, he’ll make the team. Unfortunately, however, so far, he’s been very disappointing in camp, invisible even, but here’s what’s worse. That statement applies to several other Birds as well. Here are four more who have seemingly gone missing.
