860. . . . Siaki Ika, Baylor. 4. player

Siaki Ika and Zacch Pickens are exactly the types of prospects that Eagles leadership looks for.

It isn’t often that we spend time discussing defenders from the Big 12, but Siaki Ika is, without question, someone that should be on everyone’s preseason watch list after racking up 3.5 sacks and 24 total tackles including six that resulted in a loss of yardage.

The six-foot-four, 350-pound LSU Tigers transfer displayed elite athleticism for a man his size. We should be talking about him as a future first-rounder by the time we begin discussing bowl games and football in January.

. . Zacch Pickens, South Carolina. 3. player. 850.

Gamecocks defensive lineman Zacch Pickens was a solid performer for South Carolina in 2019, stacking 35 tackles and a sack in ten games. In 2021, he racked up 38 tackles and five sacks on the field while earning the Harold White GPA Award (defense) and landing on the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

There may be an All-SEC nod in his future this season, especially if he continues to show improvement as a pass rusher. Based on what he’s put on tape so far in his NCAA career, that may not be too big of an ask.
