Philadelphia Eagles versus Minnesota Vikings: Bold predictions for Week 2
Jalen Hurts accounts for 325 yards of offense and three touchdowns.
We’ve said this for two seasons. Nothing has changed. For the Philadelphia Eagles, wins and losses will often be determined by the performance of QB1, Jalen Hurts.
The next step in his evolution includes proving that he can place his teammates on his back. He demonstrated that he can do that to some degree in Week 1. The Minnesota Vikings’ defense will provide a tougher challenge in Week 2.
We believe that he’ll be able to answer the call. We’re calling for 255 passing yards and another 70 yards on the ground.
The Eagles will rack up 250 rushing yards or more.
Despite being overshadowed at times by D’Andre Smith and his Week 1 showing, one that included more than nine yards per rushing attempt, the BIrds did some work as well.
As a team, they amassed 216 yards on the ground, and they may need more than that this time around as controlling the clock and keeping Minnesota’s offense on the sideline is a wise idea.
Truthfully, that isn’t a huge ask. One of the lesser-mentioned storylines from the Vikings’ Week 1 win was they gave up more than six yards per carry whenever the Green Bay Packers decided that they wanted to line up and run the ball.
