Can the red-hot Philadelphia Eagles survive and topple the improving Jaguars?

Don’t let the 6.5-point line fool you. This will be the Eagles’ toughest challenge so far during the 2022 regular season. Philly’s dominating performance versus the Washington Commanders raised some eyebrows and led to more national attention, but the Jaguars are proving to be a more formidable team than many had expected.

Doug Pederson deserves a lot of credit for the job he’s doing. He’ll never say this as he’s a class act, but he’ll be looking for a revenge win versus the team he led to a Super Bowl win. In order to come out on top, the Eagles need to dominate for four full quarters and finish. That’s something that they haven’t done yet.

Luckily, that hasn’t cost them a game, but they can’t bank on that this week. Jacksonville attacks for the full 60 minutes.

Hopefully, the betting odds being in Philly’s favor this week is a sign of what’s to be expected. The Eagles have won every home game that they’ve been favored in since Week 7 of 2020. They’ll look to keep that trend going on Sunday against Doug Pederson and the Jaguars squad. We expect that they’ll get the job done. Final score: Eagles 28, Jaguars 24
