Washington Commanders. 4. team. 58. . 3-4. Previous: 4th

Washington isn’t dead yet, but despite winning consecutive games, they aren’t overly impressive either.

Two weeks ago, things looked bleak for the Washington Commanders. They had just lost to the Tennessee Titans in heartbreaking fashion, dropping their record to four losses in five games. The NFL is a week-to-week league though. Two straight wins have them right back in the thick of things at 3-4 and they have the Indianapolis Colts on their horizon in Week 8.

Things change quickly, don’t they? The Commanders have won consecutive games and sit at a 3-4 on the season. Another win means they’re still alive as there’s a long way to go in the NFL’s regular season, especially in a weak NFC.

Washington’s defense has stepped up recently, only giving up three touchdowns during the past two games. On the offensive side, Taylor Heinicke has stepped in for Carson Wentz.

Heinicke offered a gusty performance to help his team topple the Packers. The running game is coming together as well. Brian Robinson Jr. and Antonio Gibson have combined for 227 rushing yards and one touchdown these past two weeks. A postseason berth is still a possibility, but it’s a long season. We’ll have to wait and see how things play out.
