. . . Jordan Mailata, left tackle. 68. player. 54

It’s time that Eagles stars Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson get their due.

Philly’s left tackle, Jordan Mailata, will never say this, so we’re going to say it for him. We’re still scratching our heads over last season’s snub. How on Earth was he left off of the 2021 Pro Bowl roster?

Oh well. There’s no use in crying over spilled milk. Despite missing some time this season, it’s obvious that we’re talking about one of the best young stars in the game.

Jalen Hurts is a legitimate MVP candidate, and part of the reason for that is because Number 68 is watching his blindside on every snap.

Lane Johnson, right tackle. 65. player. 54. . .

The right tackle position has never been seen as one of football’s most glamorous. Lane Johnson has never been appreciated as much as some of his Philadelphia Eagles teammates nationally.

Here’s where the rubber meets the road. As long as there’s a Pro Bowl and guys are voted onto the roster and as long as Inside The Iggles is a publication, we will always beat the drum for Number 65.

He’s a former First-team All-Pro (2017). He earned Second-Team All-Pro honors in 2021 and is the recipient of three Pro Bowl nods. He most certainly should have been a Pro Bowler last season. We’re expecting him to get his due this time.
