It’s often been said that football fans take the game too seriously, especially Philadelphia Eagles fans, but to many of us, this team is a family heirloom that has been passed down from generation to generation. These days, with the rise of social media and all the avenues we’re given for more access, it’s difficult to avoid becoming fond on these guys on personal levels. The Birds constantly give us cause to cheer for them on the field and off, and heading into Week 13, they’ve done it again.

You’re certain to see some unique designs and a ton of artistic expression this weekend as we see the culmination of the My Cause, My Cleats campaign. Many of the Eagles stars as well as players around the league will take the field to show off ‘cleats with a purpose’.

Players all over the NFL will take an opportunity to wear custom designed footwear to show their support for causes that are important to them. They then have the option to donate their cleats to an NFL auction. Proceeds from all sales go to the respective causes selected by each players.

Again, it’s easy to like these guys because of what they do on the field. It’s also easy to smile when you look at what they’re doing independent of the game. We definitely had to tip the cap for what everyone is doing.

How about more Eagles news featuring A.J. Brown and the Titans?

Perhaps you’ve heard? A.J. Brown gets a shot at doing work versus his old team, the Tennessee Titans, in Week 13. It isn’t often that players are traded to another conference and battle their former team a few months later, but it does happen.

Russell Wilson didn’t get the result that he was looking for versus the Seahawks in Seattle. Maybe A.J. will have better luck. Naturally, the narrative will be that this is just another game, but it’s doubtful that Number 11 hasn’t had this one highlighted on his calendar.

Sure, he’ll say all of the right things. We remember what happened when Nick Sirianni returned to Indianapolis, don’t we?

NFL News

We’ve talked about the Eagles, their rushing attack, and Tennessee’s stout defense all week. Week 13’s game is truly what you’d call a strength versus strength matchup. Thankfully, Philadelphia is still home to the NFL’s best offensive line.

Hey, don’t take our word for it. Just ask Pro Football Focus. Heading into this weekend’s slate, PFF placed them atop their O-line rankings. The story sits behind a paywall, so we won’t share any quotes, but here’s what we can tell you. It’s fun to watch Jeff Stoutland’s guys work. It’s nice to know that they’re on our side. They should play a huge role in what we expect to be an Eagles win on Sunday.
