Everyone in the next Hall of Fame class is deserving, but there are a handful of Philadelphia Eagles that are long overdue for calls.

We give A.J. Brown and Miles Sanders their due and name our Eagles Hall of Famers. In all honesty, these guys should have been called a while ago.

A.J. Brown and Miles Sanders, Air & Ground Players of the Year

No one has to be reminded of how good A.J. Brown is. We did ask Miles Sanders to prove something to us, and he has done that in a major way, running for more than 1,200 yards, more than 77 yards per game, and 11 TDs. All are career highs. It appears that he has rung the bell.

Pro Bowlers

As we stated earlier in the campaign and as Jason Kelce so eloquently put it in the most famous speech in the history of victory parades, “It’s the whole team”. Send everybody.

From Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith to Haason Reddick, Javon Hargrave, and Josh Sweat, whether they were given the honor or not, almost every starter on the roster can make a case.

Our Pro Football Hall of Fame Class for 2023 (as you might imagine, we’re adding some kelly and midnight green to the auditorium).

Here are eight Philadelphia Eagles that have waited long enough, six modern-era players and two legends from era past.

  • Eric Allen, cornerback (1988-1994)
  • Jerome Brown, defensive tackle (1987-1991)
  • Randall Cunningham, quarterback (1985-1995)
  • Clyde Simmons, defensive end (1986-1993)
  • Jeremiah Trotter, linebacker (1998-2001, 2004-2006)
  • Ricky Watters, running back (1995-1997)
  • Pete Retzlaff, Halfback, Split end, Tight end (1956-1966)
  • Al Wistert, offensive tackle, guard, defensive tackle (1943-1951)

Again, they have waited long enough. If it was up to us, we’d put them in ourselves and carve their busts immediately.
