The Philadelphia Eagles moved one step closer to capturing their second Vince Lombardi Trophy in franchise history thanks to a Divisional Round victory versus the New York Giants this past Saturday. Before the Eagles’ matchup last week, we gave you a handful of bold predictions and found some success.

Boston Scott was indeed able to score his 11th career touchdown against the Giants (that includes what he’s done during the postseason), As an added bonus, they got a huge performance from their leading rusher, third-down specialist Kenneth Gainwell. Jalen Hurts had a nice showing in Philly’s rushing attack as well.

Daniel Jones helped out by throwing an interception to former Giant/current Eagles’ corner James Bradberry. It was nice to see him get revenge on his former team. Daniel Jones’ lone fumble wasn’t a turnover, but it was a fumble nonetheless, so can still say we called it.

Next up. the scorching hot San Fransisco 49ers visit Philadelphia for the NFC Championship Game. With that news comes a new round of bold predictions for our Birds on Sunday. While we believe Philly has what it takes to defeat the 49ers and advance to Super Bowl LVII, it’s always fun to make guesses on how the story will unfold.

Will Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon have the secret remedy for Kyle Shanahan’s high-powered offense? Will the quarterback duel between Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy rival their matchup from their college days? While we don’t know for sure, there are trends to suggest that the Eagles have what it takes to pull off another impressive postseason victory.
