54. . . . Nelson Agholor. 13. player

Nelson Agholor had his moments and is one of the heroes of the 2017 and 2018 seasons, but his career ended and began in disappointing fashion.

Needing to nail the draft in 2014, Chip Kelly did, well, Chip Kelly things. Taking USC product Nelson Agholor 20th overall wasn’t the most solid of choices, especially seeing as how there were better options on the board… Byron Jones and Landon Collins for instance.

This was the first time in six years that Philly selected a wide receiver with their first-round draft choice. Jeremy Maclin was the choice in 2009. Let’s just say that Nelson isn’t Jeremy Maclin… It isn’t even close.

Maclin had a solid rookie campaign. It was a much different story for the former Trojan.

Nelson struggled in his rookie season as he collected 23 receptions on 44 targets in 13 games. 283 receiving yards and one touchdown were the results.

His best season with the Eagles came during the Super Bowl run in 2017. He hauled in 62 receptions for 768 yards and reached the end zone eight times in 16 games.

2019 would be the last time Agholor would suit up in the midnight green. He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020. He racked up 835 receiving yards with five touchdowns and has spent the past two seasons as a member of the New England Patriots.
