If the Eagles begin raiding Alabama’s defensive talent pool, they’ll find some studs.

Much has been made of the Eagles’ sudden discovery that they can bolster their roster in a hurry by adding prospects from college football’s best programs. We’re sure you’ve heard. On defense, during the past two selection meetings, they have drafted a handful of guys from ‘you know where’. They have also won big by adding guys formerly featured in the Alabama Crimson Tide’s offense (DeVonta Smith, Landon Dickerson).

This past April, the Birds added another former O-lineman from The Tide, Tyler Steen. Next time around, they’ll find some gems if they pluck from Bama’s defensive roster.

Dallas Turner is the man now with Will Anderson playing for the Houston Texans. He has collected 67 tackles and 12.5 sacks during his first 24 games. We expect him to have another monster season, and we hope the Eagles are paying attention.

The top two cornerbacks on the Eagles’ roster are both exceptional… And, they’re both getting old. While Philly might be able to get through another season without expecting a ton of regression from Darius Slay and James Bradberry, they should still keep their eyes peeled for available talent.

The Tide has a couple of cornerbacks to watch. Kool-Aid McKinstry might be their best, but the guy on the other side of the defensive formation, Malachi Moore, is a star in his own right.

Penn State has a talented option as well. Kalen King is his name. He might grade out as an NFL slot corner though, and again, for whatever reason, Philly doesn’t seem to draft guys from Penn State.
