The last time the Eagles traveled to Arrowhead Stadium, they lost, but the season turned out well. How are we feeling this time around?

On September 27 of 2017, the Eagles traveled to Kansas City to face the Chiefs in a game at Arrowhead Stadium. They wound up on the wrong side of a 27-20 final score, but things turned out well.

They won 15 of their next 17 games, including the final game of the 2017-2018 NFL season, one played in Minneapolis at U.S. Bank Stadium. That one gave them their first Super Bowl win in franchise history. Sadly, their most recent visit to pro football’s biggest stage didn’t work out as well. We don’t need to revisit what happened this past February

This one will be billed as a Super Bowl rematch. It won’t be that at all. The stage is different. The stakes aren’t as high. The winner of this one won’t win a Vince Lombardi Trophy at the game’s end.

The Birds have yet to beat Andy Reid as Chiefs head coach, and we regret to say they won’t get that win here. If this game was being played in Philly, we’d go with the Birds, but at Arrowhead, the Chiefs are tough to beat. Andy and Patrick Mahomes take this one and place an ‘L’ on the Eagles’ ledger.

Well, at least we don’t have to travel to Upstate New York and watch the Eagles and Bills play while freezing.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills have met on the field 14 times to play a football game. Eight of those 14 times, the Birds have come out on the winning side. That includes victories in the past two meetings and in four of the past five.

The schedule plays in Philadelphia’s favor here. This time around, the Bills, now clearly established as one of the AFC’s best teams, have to travel south and play this one in hostile territory.

Josh Allen is one of pro football’s best. Despite some of their losses, the Bills will again contend for the AFC East’s crown. This will provide a huge litmus test for an Eagles team with a lot of new faces. Still, though we believe the guys in green are good enough to win a high-scoring affair, we’ll tentatively jot this one down as a loss as the Bills make one or two more plays that Philly does.

Buffalo takes it as the last Eagles offensive drive stalls.
