Eagles 2023 schedule release: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions

Yes, it’s the Seahawks, and yes, for whatever reason, the Eagles always seem to have issues with them.

It sounds like it should be a false statement when you say it out loud. Truer words have never been spoken though. Even in off years, the Seattle Seahawks always cause the Eagles trouble.

The Hawks have taken 12 of the 19 meetings in this series history. They have also won seven straight over Philadelphia during a winning streak that stretches back to 2011, during Andy Reid’s coaching era in the City of Brotherly Love.

We won’t rely on curses or superstition here, but we will say this. The game is in Seattle, and if we’re being frank, we truly believe the Seahawks are more of a threat to the Eagles in the NFC than the Niners are. Geno Smith and company get the job done here, and they wake everyone up a little.

There aren’t many feelings that equal the buzz that comes from disposing of the hated Giants. As youths, many of us grew up with a disdain for the color blue and learned that, subconsciously, our hatred for Big Blue had much to do with that.

Some of us got over that. Some of us haven’t, but one thing remains. We don’t like the G-Men any more now than we did back then.

Entering the 2023-2024 NFL season, the Eagles have taken 21 of the last 27 games in this series dating back to 2010. We told you earlier that a sweep is coming. We have kept our promise.
