While it felt like a relatively quiet offseason for the Philadelphia Eagles, general manager Howie Roseman did a lot of work on the roster to improve it at key positions.
The biggest goal of the offseason was to get younger and build for the future. Over the last three to four years, that focus was first on defense, but this offseason it was on offense to get younger and prepare for the next big shift.
Roseman's work paid off, as the Eagles have three position groups that have gotten much better this offseason. Here are the three that were the most improved:
Three most improved position groups on the Eagles in 2026 offseason
Cornerbacks
The signing of Riq Woolen alone is enough to believe the Eagles' cornerbacks are in a much better spot in 2026 than the team dealt with last year with Adoree' Jackson and Kelee Ringo. Even bringing in veteran Jonathan Jones was a good signing, so that there is stiffer competition. These moves will take the pressure off the defense now that they have help for Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean.
Tight End
Not that the tight end position was in a bad place last season, but they got more athleticism and pure blockers joining the group. Getting Dallas Goedert back for another season was big, but adding in rookie second-round pick Eli Stowers to the picture just makes this unit better and sets them up with their future starting tight end. Adding in Stone Smartt and Johnny Mundt, who are great blockers, the Eagles have a complete tight end room ready for a tough training camp position battle ahead of them.

Wide Receivers
A.J. Brown is close to being gone, and with that being the case, the Eagles completely made over the wide receiver room, and it looks to be the best it has been in years. They have more veteran presence with Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, and Elijah Moore. Philly even added young talent with Makai Lemon as their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
DeVonta Smith is the undisputed number one wide receiver in this offense, which is another great thing for the group. With Hollywood as the speed guy, Wicks as the possession receiver, and Lemon as the up-and-coming receiver who can do it all, the Eagles are poised to not miss a beat in the passing game despite A.J. Brown most likely not being on this roster in 2026.
