4 Eagles players who could become trade candidates in 2026

They may not be in Philly for long.

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has proven he is not afraid to make any kind of trade, as this offseason alone, he acquired Jonathan Greenard and traded away A.J. Brown.

The Eagles have been heavily focused on accumulating draft picks to use in future trades, either in the draft or to acquire star players. Roseman has mastered this art and has been busy doing it all offseason, but could more be on the way?

There are four players who might end up being trade candidates for the Eagles that Roseman would have to consider, even if they are a bit out there. Here are the four who could be gone from Philly during the 2026 season.

Kelee Ringo, CB

Eagles fans have notoriously been against Ringo and have been trying to get him traded over the last year. His coverage skills have been rough to watch on defense, but his impact on special teams has kept him on the roster.

A Day 3 selection makes all the sense for Ringo, as the Eagles have a ton of depth at cornerback with Jonathan Jones, Jakorian Bennett, and Mac McWilliams being better options. Philly might want to try to get rid of Ringo if they can, even if it is just a seventh-round pick, to make the fans happy.

Nolan Smith Jr., EDGE

The speeding arrest and the poor play in 2025 have helped to pile up the reasons why Smith should be traded. Add the fact that Jalyx Hunt is emerging as a potential star on the defense after leading the Eagles in sacks (6.5) and interceptions (three) last year, and fans have reason to get rid of Smith. Philly has a ton of depth at edge rusher with Greenard, Hunt, Arnold Ebiketie, and A.J. Epenesa already, so they don't need Smith to be there.

Including Smith in a potential trade for Maxx Crosby makes all the sense in the world. Otherwise, getting a third or fourth round pick in a separate trade could also be the play for the Eagles.

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, WR

If all the Eagles receivers between DeVonta Smith, Makai Lemon, and Dontayvion Wicks become great players, it could open the door for Brown to be traded. Yes, that would mean the Eagles lose their pure speed deep threat, but if he doesn't end up getting as many snaps as fans expect, it would be better to get some value from him.

Brown would be a Day 3 selection in a trade. That would work just fine for the Eagles as Roseman looks to stockpile draft picks.

Jalen Carter, DT

Okay, let's get crazy here. Carter is a two-time Pro Bowler in three years, so the idea of trading him seems insane. Think about it, though: the potential $35 million-$38 million per year contract feels steep, while also accounting for his immaturity he has shown over the years.

The Eagles have Jordan Davis and Moro Ojomo already, so why not roll with them as the future defensive tackles? Carter can easily go for a first- or second-round pick with multiple other selections. That feels like a deal that would be too hard to ignore.
