It could be a massive season for multiple Philadelphia Eagles players that are on the roster.
One big reason is that plenty of guys are on one-year contracts or in the final year of their contracts in 2026. Those are the players who are looking to get the big money during the offseason in free agency from another team or the Eagles.
Five players stand out as guys who might be more motivated than the rest of the team. These are the guys who, if they really hit a home run in 2026, will be rewarded with a massive contract during the offseason.
Which Eagles players are ready to step up with contract years in 2026?
Tank Bigsby, RB
Depending on how this season goes for Bigsby, he might be seeking a starting job at running back in the NFL. His 5.9 yards-per-carry average in 2025 in an Eagles uniform showed how good he can be in this league. With the running back position coming back in terms of large contracts, Bigsby would really benefit from a strong season on the field that would make him rich next year.
Moro Ojomo, DT
Ojomo feels like he's one foot out the door in Philly because he is going to make a lot of money in free agency. He just needs to prove to the NFL that the last two years were not a fluke and that he is the real deal. After another strong training camp, it feels like he is only getting better and will be a starter somewhere in 2027.
Tyler Steen, RG
Steen had a good season as the starting right guard, but he didn't really wow anyone like the other starters have. This feels like a very big year for a young lineman trying to become a long-term starter on the Eagles roster. If he puts up a monster season in Philly, he will get starting money somewhere, and the Eagles might be the ones to pay up.
Michael Carter II, DB
Carter is still young, but it feels like his career was trending in the wrong direction until training camp this year. Now he looks like a guy who could impact the Eagles' defense even if he isn't a starter over Marcus Epps. If Carter gets his shot at safety and excels on the job, he might be prolonging his NFL career longer than many might have expected.

Riq Woolen, CB
Woolen has a ton on the line for this season after signing a one-year contract with the Eagles. They may be giving him roughly $12 million, but if he has a breakout season in Philly, he might be doubling that amount in the offseason. The potential is there with him, but he has inconsistencies throughout his young NFL career, so he needs to take advantage of being the CB2 in Philly and go make his money with big plays and turnovers.
