The Philadelphia Eagles might have ended the season in disappointment, but there was plenty to be proud of with this team in 2025.
They finished 11-6, won the NFC East for the second straight season, and remained competitive in the playoffs. That might sound like a small task for a team that won the Super Bowl in 2024, but after that disastrous 2023 season, Eagles fans might be okay with it.
Reflecting on the year during the offseason, the team delivered some great performances, including a few bigger surprises than expected, which should give Eagles fans hope for the future.
Jalyx Hunt, EDGE
Most fans thought that he would make good progress in 2025, but no one could have imagined that he would make history with the Eagles. Jalyx Hunt became the first player in franchise history to lead the team in sacks (6.5) and interceptions (three) in a season, adding 52 tackles, 29 pressures, 24 quarterback hits, nine tackles for loss, three pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. Even with the concerns at the beginning of the season with the edge rushers, Hunt became the most consistent and looks poised to be a rare talent for the Eagles.
Tank Bigsby, RB
It was a rough beginning for Bigsby when he first got traded from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Eagles, as he struggled as a kick returner. He ended up being a great backup to Saquon Barkley in the backfield, rushing for 344 yards and two touchdowns while averaging an impressive 5.9 yards per carry. Bigsby should have more of a role in this offense entering 2026.
Moro Ojomo, DT
Ojomo was a popular breakout pick for the Eagles in 2025, but he, like Hunt, exceeded expectations and was as good as Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter. In 17 games, Ojomo finished with 38 tackles, 21 pressures, 12 quarterback hits, six tackles for loss, six sacks, and a pass deflection. The sky is the limit for Ojomo, who should continue to take big strides in this defense.
Jihaad Campbell, LB
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman usually hits well with his top picks, but Campbell ended up playing better than expected with Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean there at linebacker as well. Campbell finished fourth on the team in tackles with 80 while adding three pass deflections, two tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one interception. It was as good a rookie year debut as it could get for Campbell, who might have played well enough for the Eagles to move on from Dean in free agency.

Jordan Davis, DT
Losing 26 pounds in the offseason should have been the first indicator that Davis was just going to be different, but he was truly special in 2025, from his play on the field to the leader he has become. Davis shattered his career-high in tackles with 72 while adding nine tackles for loss, eight pressures, six pass deflections, six quarterback hits, 4.5 sacks, one blocked field goal, and a block returned for a touchdown. Davis was robbed of a Pro Bowl selection as he was one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL and might have made the Eagles' decision to extend him easy.
