Philadelphia Eagles fans can be thankful that Week 1 of training camp was nowhere near the drama-filled event it had been over the last two years, but that doesn't mean there wasn't a lot of news.
Eagles star defensive tackle Jalen Carter kicked things off by signing his four-year, $152 million contract extension. That was followed up by some great play from the defense in practice. The offense also took a downward turn, with the unit showing early signs of struggle in camp.
Still, there were plenty of winners and losers from the first week of work at camp. Who were the bigger winners, and who is trending down?
Winners and losers from Eagles' first week of training camp
Winner: Jeremiah Trotter Jr., LB
Jihaad Campbell took time off toward the end of the week, allowing Trotter to shine. Trotter took full advantage of it with some nice play in coverage. A lot of Eagles fans have been waiting to see him break out in 2026, and that seems to be the trend he's on, even though he should still be a rotational guy this season.
Loser: Eli Stowers, TE
Once again, another quiet start for the rookie, as it seems like déjà vu from what happened at OTAs. Johnny Mundt is the one taking the second-string reps with Dallas Goedert starting. It's going to be a long training camp for Stowers, as it feels more and more like this will be a developmental season for him on the bench as a third-stringer.
Winner: Dontayvion Wicks, WR
In a week where the wide receivers and the offense overall did not have the best start to camp, Wicks made some plays. His deep-ball completion from Jalen Hurts showed he has the potential to be the true replacement for A.J. Brown. This is at least one encouraging sign for the offense.
Loser: Kelee Ringo, CB
Ringo is falling down the depth chart, and everyone might be finally catching up to him. His special teams play might still end up saving him in the end, but it's been clear for awhile that he is getting lapped by every corner in coverage. Could this be the end for Ringo in Philly if they can find some good special teams players to replace him?
Winner: Jalen Carter, DT
Let's face it: $152 million should be the main reason he's a winner. Not only that, but his handling of the media in Week 1 of camp, along with his dominant play on the field, showed that Howie Roseman was 100% right to give him that money. A great first week for a two-time Pro Bowler who is earning every dime of his contract extension.
Loser: Eagles' offensive line
There was one day at practice where the offensive line allowed eight sacks. Eight. That's a bit concerning, whether that's the starters or the backups. The Eagles may have an elite defense on their hands, but this offensive line better shape up and improve over the next few weeks if they have a chance at winning the Super Bowl.
Winner: Tank Bigsby, RB
Finally, Bigsby is getting some much-needed touches and reps in this offense, and it's paying off for the Eagles. He has shown the explosiveness that fans rarely got to see last year because a certain former play-caller wanted Saquon Barkley out there more than him. Bigsby is in for a massive 2026 season after what he has done in camp so far.

Winner: Jalyx Hunt, EDGE
Oh man, did the offensive tackles have a tough time blocking Hunt. It felt like every day, Eagles reporters were commenting on how Hunt was just beating Jordan Mailata off the line almost every time. There might not be too much of a competition at edge rusher with Nolan Smith Jr. because Hunt is winning the position battle by a mile.
