After seven long months of drama and news stories, the Philadelphia Eagles are finally in the regular season and getting ready for Week 1 against the Washington Commanders.
It almost feels like a lifetime ago, but so much happened in the offseason. The Eagles almost had Landon Dickerson, Lane Johnson, and Vic Fangio all retirement, former offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland left the team; A.J. Brown got traded; Sean Mannion replaced Kevin Patullo as offensive coordinator; Jalen Hurts got all the hate; and more.
With all of that in the past, the Eagles can move forward with the season, but who are the biggest winners and losers from the offseason? Here's the full list.
Winners and losers from Eagles' 2026 offseason
Winner: Sean Mannion, OC
Mannion got a ton of buzz around him after just two years as an assistant in the NFL before landing the Eagles offensive coordinator job. This is the first time he will ever call plays, and he has a talented group to coach. He had a great offseason, but it could turn into a similar nightmare that Kevin Patullo faced last year.
Loser: Jonathan Greenard, EDGE
Greenard might have been a financial win, but he didn't win on the field. He missed all of training camp with a pectoral injury that now leaves his Week 1 status against the Washington Commanders in question. His first impression on Philly wasn't good, so he'd better fix it quickly.
Winner: DeVonta Smith, WR
No more A.J. Brown stealing his thunder, as it is now Smith's time to shine for the Eagles. He has produced three seasons with over 1,000 yards over the last five years, but he led the team just once during Brown's four years, and that was last year. Smith is going to be the focal point in this offense and needs to step up to the plate, which everyone expects the new team captain to do.
Loser: Makai Lemon, WR
Lemon has not made the best first impression on the team after missing part of OTAs with an injury and then again in training camp. When he is on the field, he's flashed, but these injuries are starting to make fans a bit nervous. He needs to get healthy and prove he can stay on the field so that he can live up to his first-round pick status.
Winners: Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Tackles
Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter both got paid the big money during the offseason, with the Eagles giving each of them record-breaking extensions. Even though Moro Ojomo might be the odd man out, he still has a chance to get a massive payday next offseason from another team. Things are looking pretty good for the linemen.
Losers: Eagles Cornerbacks Who Aren't Starters
Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and Riq Woolen had good summers, but that's about it at cornerback. Kelee Ringo and Mac McWilliams might have made the team, but they had rough preseason performances. Jonathan Jones could still be a good depth player, but no one would know since he missed a lot of games with an injury. The Eagles need to figure out what's going on at corner quickly and hope none of the starters get hurt.
Winner: Howie Roseman, GM
Roseman always feels like a winner in the offseason. He gave a lot of guys big contracts, and even the small one-year contracts he gave to free agents are showing early signs of working for him. No one can make a contract look as good as Roseman does, as he worked his magic to get a lot of the key players locked in for a long time.
Winners: Eagles' 2025 Draft Class
It feels like this draft class is really starting to come together nicely for the Eagles. Jihaad Campbell and Andrew Mukuba are both full-time starters on defense, with Ty Robinson, Smael Mondon Jr., and Drew Kendall making significant strides in training camp. Give this class another year of development, and they might feature more starters than fans expected after a quiet 2025 year.

Loser: Jalen Hurts, QB
While Hurts is still a great quarterback, nothing about this offseason felt like a win for him. From the offseason criticisms of the 2025 season to his multiple interceptions in training camp, it didn't feel like the most encouraging last half of the year for him. The good news is that he's got a chance to redeem himself and prove everyone wrong.
