The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to break their three-game losing streak in Week 6, as they face the Carolina Panthers.
This is not going to be an easy game for the Eagles, as they won't have their star quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is dealing with a blood clot issue. They have six total players out and five others that are questionable to play.
With the players that are on the field, there are six X-factors for the Eagles that can make or break their matchup against the Panthers. Here are the players that will impact the game.
Eagles' biggest X-factors entering Panthers Week 6 matchup
DeVonta Smith, WR
Despite missing two games, Smith still leads the Eagles in receptions with 19. He also has 235 yards and one touchdown. New Eagles starting quarterback Tanner McKee is going to turn to Smith early and often in the passing game, so watch for him to make a massive impact.
Dallas Goedert, TE
The best friend of a backup quarterback is always their security blanket, the tight end. Goedert has been off to a decent start despite missing a few games this season, catching 11 receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns. He has a chance to have a big game and help McKee out.
Quinyon Mitchell, CB
Mitchell got his first career interception in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Panthers have Tetairoa McMillan, who has been one of the NFL's best wide receviers. If Mitchell can shut
McMillan down, the Eagles have a better shot at winning this game.
Nolan Smith Jr., EDGE
Smith has been the most consistent pass rusher on the Eagles, and will have to step up with Jalyx Hunt and AJ Epenesa out for the game. Jonathan Greenard is back from injury, but he will get plenty of attention. Smith will be the guy that has a chance to get some sacks and pressures in the game.
Dontayvion Wicks, WR
With Smith having missed the last two games, Wicks has becoming the top target in this offense. In five games, Wicks has caught 17 passes for 260 yards and one touchdown. There's going to be a lot of attention on Smith, so Wicks might be able to create some big plays in the passing game.

Cooper DeJean, CB
DeJean can do it all in the secondary, from loading up in the box to stop the run to drop back into coverage. The Eagles have had some inconsistent performances from their All-Pro cornerback. With Michael Carter II out in the secondary, DeJean needs to help support the safety position better in this game.
