In the past week, the tone of the Philadelphia Eagles' offseason has changed, with good news finally flowing in, including wide receiver A.J. Brown now looking like he might stick around in 2026.

Eagles reporter Derrick Gunn and ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter have given encouraging updates, saying they expect Brown will not be traded in the offseason. That was nice until Brown appeared on the "DudesOnDudes" podcast with Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski.

Edelman said, "Just remember, we're all Patriots." Brown, of course, caused chaos by doing a subtle wink to the guys.

Eagles fans now sent spiraling downward with A.J. Brown concern again

Brown has been linked to the New England Patriots as a potential landing spot dating back to last year, when Mike Vrabel was hired as their head coach. Vrabel was Brown's head coach in Tennessee for three seasons to start his career before the Eagles traded for Brown in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Last season was an up-and-down year for Brown, who had the worst statistical season of his Eagles career with 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. He wasn't selected to the Pro Bowl or All-Pro, and he wasn't even the Eagles' leading receiver for the first time since joining Philly.

There were all kinds of drama with Brown, from cryptic tweets to stream comments to altercations on the sidelines. It was all capped off by a report saying he asked to be traded multiple times throughout the season, starting with the Week 3 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

One thing about Brown is that he is really good at playing the media when it comes to what he does. He knows exactly what he is doing when he winks or says something, so everything is calculated. It could be him just having fun or a simple gesture to the Eagles that New England is a spot he wants to land.

Everyone has been recruiting Brown hard in the offseason, with Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry trying multiple times to share that he wants Brown to be a Ravens. This press tour he has recently been on is happening for a reason known only to him.

With how everything has been going for the Eagles and their fans this offseason, nothing is off the table yet, so brace for whatever could happen with Brown.
