That's pretty crystal clear.

The storyline of the Philadelphia Eagles potentially trading away wide receiver A.J. Brown continues to attract public attention, but both sides might be more aligned than some think.

A report came out after the season that Brown asked the Eagles to be traded multiple times throughout the year, starting after the Week 3 win against the Los Angeles Rams. This was after all the drama surrounding Brown and the Eagles, including cryptic tweets, sideline altercations, stream comments, and a refusal to talk to the media.

While appearing on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia, Eagles reporter Derrick Gunn spoke about the Eagles-Brown situation, offering additional insight. Gunn made it clear what the Eagles' thinking is entering 2026.

"Let me emphasize as we sit here right now talking, the Eagles want A.J. Brown in an Eagles uniform in 2026."

Eagles want A.J. Brown in Philly, but does Brown want to be there?

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman made it clear in his end-of-year press conference that the team wants Brown to be there in 2026. Brown is coming off his worst season with the Eagles, as he went for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. It's the first time he has not been selected to the Pro Bowl or All-Pro and has not led the team in receiving.

Many believe it's still more on Brown's side, who doesn't want to make the relationship work. Gunn told a different story on the air.

"I believe he never really wanted to get out of town. He wears his emotions on his sleeves. He was frustrated not with just him not getting the ball more but with the offense being as inconsistent as it was. Now, some people handle their emotions as we all know in life differently than others. Some people speak their minds quicker than others. Some people let their frustrations boil over quicker than others, and in several instances, that was the case with A.J., but A.J. has always wanted to be here. He just wanted the offense to be similar to what it was in 2024 in terms of production."

Brown made multiple appearances during Super Bowl week, where he talked about loving Philadelphia and still wanting to play for the Eagles. It was more about people misunderstanding him and why he spoke out the way he did.

No matter what is reported, everyone in the media will believe it and push the narrative that Brown gets traded. It may not be the case.
