The Philadelphia Eagles are not done adding to their coaching staff, as they have made another new addition to the team for the 2026 season.
FootballScoop's John Brice reported that Notre Dame assistant strength coach Fred Hale is leaving the program to join the Eagles as their assistant strength and conditioning coach. Hale was with the Fighting Irish for five years before taking the job in Philly.
This is the Eagles' second coaching move of the week on the staff, with the final spots filled. The Eagles also promoted pass game coordinator Parks Frazier to be the quarterbacks coach.
Eagles hire Fred Hale to join strength and condition staff
Hale will be working under Fernando Noriega, who has been the Eagles' director of player performance and sports science/head strength and conditioning coach. Noriega has been with the team since head coach Nick Sirianni arrived in Philly five years ago.
Eagles fans have seen some NFL teams announce the finalization of their coaching staffs, but Philly is still working through its before revealing it to the public. It has been quite the offseason for the staff, as the offensive coaching staff has had very few leftovers from last year's team. The complete 180-degree turn in the offensive scheme has a lot to do with that, as new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion takes over the unit.
It shouldn't be too much longer before the fan base sees who will be on the staff officially and what their roles will be. The coaching staff will look very different from the one that took the field last year.
