Everyone in Philadelphia is waking up more relieved and happy after the Eagles took care of business against the Washington Commanders with a 29-18 win in Week 16.

While it wasn't a pretty first half, they finished with a 22-8 run to close out the game, moving to 10-5 on the season and holding strong for the number three seed in the NFC. Now it's about getting ready for the postseason and making sure they are fully loaded for it.

Well, reinforcement is on the way for the Eagles as sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter that defensive tackle Jalen Carter and right tackle Lane Johnson are expected to be back against the Buffalo Bills in Week 17. Carter injured both of his shoulders, as he has missed the last three games, while Johnson has been out for the previous five games with a foot injury.

Eagles getting even more good news to cap a great Week 16

This is fantastic news for the Eagles, as it will be a boost for the offensive line, which has been inconsistent without Johnson in the lineup. Fred Johnson has filled in for Lane Johnson and has been okay, but he's coming off a game against the Commanders, where he had two bad penalties.

The Eagles could use Lane Johnson to help bring back some continuity to a unit that hasn't had any for most of the season. It will give them at least one or two games to get their communication together before the playoffs kick off.

Philly's defense has been rolling without Jalen Carter, allowing less than 300 yards combined in the last two games. Jordan Davis, Moro Ojomo, Byron Young, and Brandon Graham have dominated in the middle of the defensive line as Carter recovers from his injury.

Carter can only enhance what is now becoming the hottest defense in the NFL. Philly's pass rush is about to look way scarier with Carter potentially playing.

This is all excellent news for the Eagles, who hope to be at their best as they prepare for what looks to be a very tough NFC field.
