Adam Schefter got blunt about what the Eagles want in potential A.J. Brown trade

Yep just what Eagles fans have been saying.

It's funny how so many people believe NFL teams are going to call the Philadelphia Eagles' bluff about trading star wide receiver A.J. Brown.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has reported asking for two picks, including a first-round selection and a Day 2 pick for Brown. Teams have been balking at the price tag for Brown, but Roseman has been sticking to his guns so far. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter went on the Pat McAfee Show and said pretty much the same thing, as he doesn't believe the Eagles are going to back down from the asking price.

“I don’t believe there’s a chance in hell that the Eagles would move A.J. Brown unless it included a first-round pick, and even then I don’t think they’re all that interested in moving on from him.”

Adam Schefter thinks a first-round pick is necessary for A.J. Brown

The Eagles are the ones that would take the biggest hit with a Brown trade, so it makes sense that Roseman doesn't want to lose anything else out of the deal. Philly would lose a three-time Pro Bowler while also taking an estimated $20 million hit against the cap for trading Brown before the June 1 designation.

The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane has reported that there are two teams that are likely favorites to land Brown in a trade between the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots. Baltimore has the 14th overall pick, which would be very appealing for the Eagles, while the Patriots are likely to throw in another pick with their head coach, Mike Vrabel, thinking so highly of Brown from their time together with the Tennessee Titans.

Everyone is hoping that Roseman will drop the asking price out of just pure desperation. Roseman has never been the guy to do that, as he knows what he is doing at all times. The only way he would take any deal is if he is close to getting Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby in a trade.

Eagles fans will have to wait and see, as there is still a lot that can unfold with the situation, but the hope is that a first-rounder will be part of the deal.
