Adam Schefter is asking the question Eagles fans are wondering with Jalen Hurts

Honestly, yeah fair question.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has taken a beating in the media lately after an ESPN report about him.

That report includes Hurts changing play calls, poor body language, and being behind on the all-vertical routes call on the last play of the NFC Wild Card game against the San Francisco 49ers. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter spoke on 97.5 The Fanatic and was asked about his thoughts on the Hurts report, posing an interesting question.

"What I find interesting, and it's just some food for thought here, when we think about it as we go along, we've spent an awful lot of time talking about Jalen Hurts, right? And that's fair, I got it. Big deal, polarizing figure to an extent, but Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert did their contract two weeks after Jalen Hurts. Why isn't anybody asking why they're not extending yet?

This is a great question from Schefter that members of the media are not asking because they are so focused on the Eagles. Everything that comes out of Philly is always the main focus since that gets clicks and views, and everything outside of it won't do as well.

Burrow has seemed unhappy with how things have been going with the Bengals without saying it outright, and Herbert has not had the playoff success the Chargers would want. Why isn't that the focus of these reports? Why is ESPN just targeting Hurts?

The Eagles fan base is used to the odd amount of negative reporting coming out of there, as it gets covered by the national media. Hurts is always the subject of it despite the fact that he has been to three Pro Bowls, two Super Bowls, won a Super Bowl, and was Super Bowl MVP.

They are not going away anytime soon, but Hurts will continue to help the Eagles do what the team does best: winning.
