There are always little twists and turns that come with the NFL Draft, but the Philadelphia Eagles just received a surprise one two weeks before they make their first selection.
The Eagles were originally planning to meet with Memphis offensive tackle Travis Burke on a visit. Eagles reporter Anthony DiBona shared that Burke will not be visiting with the Eagles due to a scheduling conflict. Instead, a virtual meeting will be held with him.

In 11 starts with Memphis last year, Burke got an 84.5 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, ranking 11th out of 632 offensive tackles. He has a 6-foot-9 frame and weighs 325 pounds with arm lengths of 34.25".
Eagles having virtual meeting with Travis Burke instead of in-person visit
This might seem like a small thing, since they are still going to meet at the end of the day. It's a good thing they were actually able to get something on the calendar.
The Eagles seem to understand it, but at the same time, it should leave some fans thinking. If Burke isn't meeting the team in person, what else is going on that keeps him from being there? If it is a family matter, that's understandable, but if it is to meet with another team, that's a different story.
These meetings are important for the Eagles as they decide whether to pick an offensive tackle in the first round or wait until Day 2 or 3. They need to build some youth and depth on the line, with Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson almost retiring in the offseason.

Burke might end up still being a decent option for them on Day 3 of the draft, but it could also lead to them rethinking their strategy on the line and picking one or two in the earlier rounds.
