Philadelphia Eagles starting right tackle Lane Johnson nearly retired from the NFL, but decided to come back for what could possibly be his last season in the league.
That has put the Eagles behind the eight ball in finding his replacement this offseason. They are most likely going to use the 2026 NFL Draft to develop a lineman behind Johnson for a year and see what Johnson does after that.
Well, one of those candidates could be Memphis offensive tackle Travis Burke, as he is set to meet with the Eagles, according to Justin Melo. Burke started 11 games last season for the Tigers, earning an 84.5 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, ranking 11th out of 632 offensive tackles in the country.

Burke started 11 games at RT for the Tigers in 2025. Burke was excellent at the NFL Combine, and turned heads at his Pro Day, too.
Travis Burke set to meet with the Eagles
Early draft projections have Burke being a Day 3 selection, but he has been catching the attention of a lot of people. He stands at 6-foot-9 and 325 pounds with arm lengths of 34.25".
He showed at Memphis that he is a good pass blocker and can move on pulls to the second level quickly on running plays. Because of the level of play, some development will be needed, as he can play too high at times, but he is a perfect player for the Eagles to select if they want to wait until later rounds for an offensive tackle.
Philly's depth on the line is a bit scary at the moment, with Brett Toth and Matt Pryor no longer on the team. The Eagles did re-sign Fred Johnson, which was huge to have, but not enough to make the fan base comfortable with what they have.

There's a good chance the Eagles still go offensive tackle in the first or second round, but Burke is a great Day 3 option that could surprise some people.
