Everyone is waiting for Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman to make his signature splash move that will shock the world.
Roseman has been known for making great trades and signings that flip the league on its head, like trading for A.J. Brown, signing Saquon Barkley, or last season acquiring Jaelan Phillips at the trade deadline. This offseason, though, it's been all about signing players to one-year deals and working on new deals for some of his key players.
ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky appeared on the show Get Up, where the crew was talking about which teams should be calling the Las Vegas Raiders about edge rusher Maxx Crosby. While the Dallas Cowboys have been a name brought up. Orlovsky is keeping his eyes on the Eagles, and Roseman is in the conversation as well.
“I would also put the Eagles in that conversation. I would just reiterate the point, Howie Roseman is notorious for getting value on the market," Orlovsky said. "This just feels like a Howie Roseman type of situation eventually.”
Should the Eagles be in on trading for Maxx Crosby still?
Crosby is one of the elite edge rushers in the NFL, as he has been selected to five Pro Bowls in his career. He's accumulated 69.5 sacks over that span and remains a nightmare for quarterbacks.
The Baltimore Ravens had a trade in place with the Raiders to give two first-round picks for Crosby, but backed out after doing his physical. Dallas was one of the rumored teams to have made an offer to the Raiders, as the Eagles were also in the conversation. One rumor had the Eagles including defensive tackle Jalen Carter in the trade, but that has since been debunked, as the team is working on a contract extension for him.
It would be tough to see Roseman execute this trade for Crosby, though, as the Raiders are asking for two first-round picks for him. While Crosby would be a great addition, Roseman values his draft picks and isn't about to give them away that easily.

This could be a topic of discussion through the 2026 NFL Draft, but if the Eagles and Roseman can somehow get the Raiders to drop their asking price, they should try to complete a trade for Crosby and solve their edge rusher problem.
