The Philadelphia Eagles have been to the Super Bowl twice in the last four years, and now they know when they will face off against the team that last carried the Lombardi Trophy.

Eagles reporter Ryan Fowler shared that Philly will host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 of the 2026 NFL season on that Saturday. This game will feature the last two Super Bowl champions, with the Eagles winning it in 2024 and the Seahawks taking it back in February.

Most Eagles fans would like to forget about the last time the Seahawks played them, as it was back in 2023, and Seattle's backup quarterback, Drew Lock, somehow found a way to beat the Eagles on a game-winning touchdown with under 30 seconds left, 20-17. Seattle leads the all-time series against the Eagles 13-7.

Philly is playing host to the defending Super Bowl champions

This is a true heavyweight battle between two teams that have been among the best franchises in the last decade. The Seahawks have been to the Super Bowl three times since 2010, while the Eagles have been to it three times as well.

Seattle has one of the best bright defensive minds in the game right now, in head coach Mike MacDonald, leading the way. It'll be fun to see how he does against the new Eagles offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion, as, hopefully, by then, he will be in a good rhythm as a play-caller.

Many believe this could be a preview of the NFC Championship game as the Seahawks and Eagles are two of the best teams in the conference. Both are very familiar with playing the game, but not with playing against each other.
