Another former Eagles DC gets handed pink slip (with more karma involved)

Shouldn't have messed with the Tush Push.

For the second time this offseason, a former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator lost his head coaching job.

The Buffalo Bills have fired head coach Sean McDermott after nine seasons there. McDermott went 98-50 there, but was never able to make it to the Super Bowl.

Eagles fans might remember McDermott playing a massive role in the Eagles' defense as an assistant, and he eventually took over for the late, great Jim Johnson as defensive coordinator. In 2009 and 2010, as defensive coordinator, McDermott's defenses were 12th in yards both years, but 19th and 21st in points allowed.

Sean McDermott got a heavy dose of karma after the past with Eagles

Nobody is feeling the wrath of karma more than McDermott for everything that has happened with the Tush Push. Remember that he was the most vocal about banning the play during the offseason, but he ended up using that more with his quarterback, Josh Allen, than the Eagles did with Jalen Hurts.

McDermott also felt it when the Eagles took care of business against the Bills 13-12 late in the season, when the Birds needed momentum the most. That might have been the first sign of things to come for the head coach with Buffalo's momentum slipping away.

Now that the former Bills coach is looking for a new job, this might help the Eagles out. While the Tush Push wasn't exactly successful for Philly during the season, this might actually help their chances if the new head coach is a fan of the play, since it works so well for Allen.

The Eagles continue to see their former coaches lose their jobs, and not a lot of tears will be shed by the fan base after what McDermott did to this team.
