Can we share some radical honesty? Once the confetti fell on Arrowhead Stadium and we knew the Kansas City Chiefs were the Philadelphia Eagles' opponent in Super Bowl LIX, our first thoughts centered around a little nervousness.
We knew the Birds would handle the Buffalo Bills in a Super Bowl. We thought the Chiefs were a little tougher challenge, but things settled. As the game drew closer, we expected an Eagles win.
Now, we weren't expecting a blowout win. We thought Philly might take it by about ten points or so, but no one is complaining this way. We're satisfied with the result.
The Eagles never got caught up in the hype about the back-to-back champions. They ended K.C's reign of terror and their hopes of a three-peat, but while we're on the subject, how about the run Trevor Keegan is on?
Eagles 2024 draftee Trevor Keegan celebrates 'back-to-back' wins of his own!
So many things were accomplished during this Eagles championship run. The avenged the Super Bowl LVII loss to these same Chiefs, and by meeting team goals, they celebrated individual accomplishments.
Saquon Barkley won the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year Award (and should have been named league MVP). Six Birds were named Pro Bowlers. A half-dozen were named as AP All-Pros.
DeVonta Smith became only the fifth player to accomplish a rare trifecta: winning a Heisman Trophy, National Championship, and Super Bowl. And, guess what? We still earn the right to discuss back-to-back championships!
One of the lesser-mentioned Eagles, Trevor Keegan, ended his collegiate career with the Michigan Wolverines by celebrating a College Football Playoff National Championship. One year later, he's part of an Eagles team that hoisted the Lombardi Trophy!
We saw a few mentions of this and wanted to shout him out as well! Congratulations to Eagles offensive lineman Trevor Keegan for winning a CFP National Championship and Super Bowl in successive seasons! pic.twitter.com/mO3rj12J3E

As we move towards another NFL Scouting Combine and exciting Eagles offseason, Keegan is one of the youngsters we are excited about. A fifth-round selection by the Birds in the 2024 NFL Draft, he had previously earned both First-Team and Second-Team Big Ten honors during his time with the Wolverines.
Keegan is talented but didn't play much as he was often a healthy scratch on game days. He sat behind everyone from Pro Bowlers (Landon Dickerson), great free-agent acquisitions (Mekhi Becton), and more experienced players (Tyler Steen) on Philly's loaded O-line depth chart. He did, however, see five special teams snaps during the regular season finale.
He's a champion again though, two times over. No one will be able to take that away from him don't and don't fret about his involvement. Be patient. He will pay off in a major way as he gains more experience.
