Since A.J. Brown was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles, there have been all kinds of rumors spreading about what happened during his time there.
While Inside The Iggles won't go into the specifics of the rumor, one has spread like wildfire about Brown and Haason Reddick and might have led to both players leaving for different reasons (check the internet if Eagles fans want to know more). NFL insider Mike Garafolo decided to comment on the rumors indirectly, sharing what Big Dom had to say about them.
"This talk of what's happening and why the trade happened, and A.J. Brown and Haason Reddick, and you've seen it probably on social media. I talked to Big Dom about this, okay? And Big Dom knows what's happening in that entire building, and he was adamant that that is not true. There is no truth to that part, that Haason Reddick is no longer an Eagle because Haason Reddick wanted a huge payday, and A.J. Brown is no longer an Eagle for reasons that have nothing to do with what's circulating online. He could not have been more adamant. That story is complete and utter bupkis."
Big Dom is shutting down crazy new rumors about A.J. Brown and Haason Reddick
If there is anyone who knows the ins and outs of what's going on with Eagles players' personal lives, it's Big Dom. He's known for being the guy who gets involved and can help any player out at any time of the day with just one phone call.
It's wild that this specific rumor spread, as it's on the record that Reddick was unhappy with the Eagles' unwillingness to pay him more before trading him to the New York Jets. That actually ended up being a great move by the Eagles, as they avoided paying for a guy who has had 3.5 sacks since the trade in the 2024 offseason.
Brown was traded because he was frustrated with Jalen Hurts not giving him the ball enough. That tension over the last two years led Brown to know, after the Wild Card loss to the San Francisco 49ers, that it was over for him in Philly.
There could have been other reasons for Brown to want out, as there seemed to be problems with Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni as well after he yelled at his receiver on the sidelines in last year's playoff loss. Regardless, there were a lot of problems Brown had, but Reddick might have been low on the list of reasons if that rumor was somehow true.

The more Brown is gone, the more drama there seems to be off the field over the last few years. Maybe this trade should have happened sooner.
