The Philadelphia Eagles' 2026 season is going to be very difficult, as all three NFC East teams got better in the offseason, making a division title defense run hard to accomplish.
Philly has taken the NFC East title in two straight seasons, becoming the first team in the division to win it back-to-back in over two decades. Bleacher Report writer Brad Gagnon shared a bold prediction that the run could come to an end with the New York Giants winning it.
"The Eagles are vulnerable on both sides of the ball. Saquon Barkley is aging and they could take a big risk in trading A.J. Brown. The Cowboys still have a lot of questions to answer on defense. And the Commanders will need to see major improvement on D as well, while quarterback Jayden Daniels faces some challenges following a sophomore season to forget. In other words, the NFC East could be wide open for the G-Men to shock the football world in 2026."
Could the Giants actually upset the Eagles and win the NFC East?
Everyone is starting to believe in the Giants simply because John Harbaugh is now the head coach in New York. Harbaugh had success as the Eagles' special teams coordinator before becoming the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens for nearly two decades and winning a Super Bowl.
The Giants' roster has improved, but it doesn't nearly match what the Eagles have put together for 2026. Philly has some questions about how the offense will look with Sean Mannion as the offensive coordinator, and A.J. Brown most likely will not be there, with a trade to the New England Patriots potentially happening next month. The Eagles still have one of the top defenses in the NFL thanks to a solid front seven and two All-Pros at cornerback.

Even with all the changes the Giants have had with their culture, the Eagles should still be the favorites and win it. Philly should be more worried about the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders than the Giants.
