This offseason has gotten off to as bad of a start as it could have gone for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles are struggling to find the right man for the offensive coordinator job. Now, they have lost one of their top assistant coaches, defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator Christian Parker, who is heading to the Dallas Cowboys as their defensive coordinator.
It was a true gut punch, as most Eagles fans know that the Cowboys got a good coach in Parker. Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean understood this better than anyone, as he shared his sad reaction to losing his coach over the last two years on social media.
"Mannnn. They got a great one wouldn’t be the player I am without CP"
Cooper DeJean's reaction was how every Eagles fan reacted to the news
Parker has been a rising star in the coaching arena, having been with the Eagles over the last two years. He has been praised for the work he has done with DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell, making both into All-Pros in just their second season with the team.
There is a lot of credit being given to Parker for how he handled other aspects of the secondary, including the work done with Adoree' Jackson as CB2. While Jackson and Kelee Ringo struggled in the first half of the season, Jackson played well late in the season and improved his performance.
DeJean wasn't the only former Parker cornerback to react to the news on social media, though. Former Eagles Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay also shared his thoughts on the news.
"Yes sir.. they got a good one. Well deserved"

The Eagles have some big shoes to fill in the secondary with Parker gone, and will now have to conduct that coaching search as well. Let's hope that one goes better than the offensive coordinator search.
