If it wasn't bad enough to lose one assistant to the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles might be losing another coach on the current staff.

The Cowboys first hired Eagles defensive backs coach Christian Parker to be their new defensive coordinator after two years in Philly. Now Parker is looking at some other Eagles assistants to join his defensive staff.

ESPN Cowboys reporter Todd Archer reported Dallas is interviewing Eagles assistant linebacker coach Ronell Williams. Back in 2023, Williams was the Eagles' nickel cornerbacks coach before taking over the assistant linebackers/defensive quality control coach roles the last two years.

Dallas Cowboys just can't stay away from the Philadelphia Eagles

The hits just keep on coming for the Eagles and their coaching staff, but it's not completely unexpected for the team. Parker is more familiar with the staff that he has been working with over the last two years, so of course, he would look there first for guys to bring on.

It was a great last two years for Parker with the Eagles, as he helped in the development of All-Pros Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell. Parker also played a massive role in helping the team navigate the CB2 problems in 2025 as he got Adoree' Jackson to play well in the second half of the season.

Philly is going to have a rough time replacing Parker, as he has become a rising star in the coaching ranks over the last two years. The Eagles might have to do some convincing on their own staff to keep as many as possible with promotions, but that's going to be too tough.

This is the price the Eagles have to pay for success, as defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has done a great job in finding the best assistants for his staff. Fangio will have to do it again by finding more talent to join the staff to keep the good times rolling.
