The final predictions are in and the Philadelphia Eagles might be doing the unthinkable in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

NFL Network draft expert Daniel Jeremiah released his final mock draft of the year, with the Eagles making a surprising move up to the 16th pick, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently at. Jeremiah has the Eagles making the trade to select Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor.

"I’m expecting a big trade market for the 16th overall pick, with teams looking to move ahead of the Lions for an offensive tackle. The Eagles trade up one spot higher to beat the competition for Proctor."

Final mock draft has Eagles trading up for Kadyn Proctor

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is not shy about making trades up, as he has done in the past for guys like Jalen Carter and Jihaad Campbell. This feels like a move the Eagles would be forced into, depending on what happens in the draft.

Proctor's projections in the draft have been getting higher as experts believe there could be an early run of offensive tackles in the first 15 picks. If Proctor is still there at 16, it might have to be a move the Eagles need to make.

Roseman loves his linemen and needs to make sure he nails the picks to get a future right tackle to eventually replace Lane Johnson and also add an edge rusher. Given what the Eagles have done in previous drafts, offensive tackle seems like the common-sense move for Philly.

There is going to be plenty of competition that could also move up and try to get Proctor from the Eagles. Teams like the Chicago Bears will also have to consider the option of trading up if they want a tackle to start right away.

Philly brass and Proctor had a visit together, so there is familiarity and interest there already. If the Eagles want him without risking losing him, they'll have to give up some picks to get it done.
