Anything can happen at this point with the Philadelphia Eagles when it comes to wide receiver A.J. Brown and whether he actually gets traded from the team or stays in 2026.
Everyone is trying to figure out the best options for the Eagles to be either WR3 or to replace Brown altogether. NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah was asked about that during the NFL Combine and what could be good options for Philly as either WR3 or Brown's replacement. Jeremiah likes Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. as an option.
"The obvious one to me would be Omar Cooper Jr.," Jeremiah said via nfl.com. "That's one of the most fun players to study and watch. I think he's going to end up in the first round when it's all said and done. That's the style of player that you're talking about -- someone who can really catch and run, make things happen after the catch."
Daniel Jeremiah has two solid options for the Eagles at wide receiver
Cooper is coming off a career season for the national champion Hoosiers as he caught 69 receptions for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named as a second-team All-Big Ten selection.
Jeremiah wasn't done as he had another option for the Eagles at wide receiver to look at. He had suggested also Clemson wide receiver Antonio Williams as an option.
"It's a long list of receivers, but I will say, A.J. is 225 pounds and moves like that," Jeremiah said. "You don't usually find a lot of those guys on a yearly basis, so it's going to be a little hard."
Due to some of the offensive issues with Clemson, Williams did not have the kind of numbers he has had in the past as he caught 55 receptions for 604 yards and four touchdowns. He was a third-team All-ACC selection last year and a first team selection in 2024.
Neither player is tall, but they would make perfect slot receivers in the Eagles' offense. They are not projected first-round picks, and that would work perfectly for Philly as they have other needs to address first.

Jeremiah has some good suggestions for the Eagles that the team should take a look at. This could be the draft to find someone to replace Brown, or at least a good future player to develop.
