NFL Draft season is in full swing, with over two months left until the first overall pick gets announced and Philadelphia Eagles fans see how general manager Howie Roseman will embarrass the league with his perfect selection.
Many Eagles fans have wondered how the Eagles would approach this draft, given their many needs, including the offensive line, edge rushers, cornerbacks, safeties, and wide receivers. NFL Draft expert Daniel Jeremiah has been busy this week giving his thoughts and opinions on what everyone can expect coming up in April.
The Athletic's Zach Berman shared what Jeremiah said about the Eagles: "I like big guys early for them." Specifically, one name he loved for Philly was Penn State guard Olaivavega Ioane, but didn't feel he would fall to 23rd overall in the draft. Other names included Georgia offensive tackle Monroe Freeling, Clemson offensive tackle Blake Miller, and Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor in the first round, and in the second round, to look at Ohio State tight end Max Klare as the pick.

Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson and left guard Landon Dickerson certainly gave the team a scare when they considered retirement before officially coming back for 2026, so there is a strong chance the team starts thinking about the future. It would be nothing new for the Eagles, as Roseman likes to go either offensive line or defensive line early in the first three rounds anyway.
The Klare selection would be a solid move, since Cameron Latu is the only Eagles tight end under contract for 2026. Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra, and Kylen Granson are all free agents, and their chances of coming back are all over the place.
As for the other big needs in the secondary, edge rusher, and wide receiver, those are ones that can either be addressed late in the draft or in free agency. It wouldn't be too much of a surprise to see the Eagles handle the secondary and edge rusher in free agency and get a young wide receiver in the third round of the NFL Draft to have their WR3 to replace Jahan Dotson.

Philly needs to nail this draft and get the right pieces in place for the future on the offensive line, especially after all the injuries they had a season ago. Roseman went crazy on cornerback depth during the 2025 season after seeing weaknesses there; it'll be the same for the offensive line in the offseason.
