Less than 24 hours after the Philadelphia Eagles finalized the 53-man roster, fans now know what most of the practice squad will look like.
The Eagles lost four players to the waiver wire, which they could have filled from their practice squad, but those players are no longer available. That means Eagles general manager Howie Roseman worked quickly to get 13 players on the roster signed to the practice squad. Here is who the team announced would be on the practice squad for 2026:

- T John Ojukwu
- RB Dameon Pierce
- S Maximus Pulley
- OLB Mason Reiger
- RB Carson Steele
- OLB Joshua Weru
- S Cole Wisniewski
Eagles sign 13 players to the practice squad
This is just the beginning for the Eagles, as Roseman has three more spots available on the practice squad. If Weru or Bernard has the international designation, then there will be four more spots open.
Speaking of Weru and Bernard, the Eagles fan base has to be happy to see those two back on the team after being waived. There was some risk to that move, but Roseman got it right with them.
They also got Pierce and Steele back in the backfield after strong preseasons by both guys. The Eagles are now feeling really good about the depth they have on offense, specifically at running back.
Mason Reiger is the only player that was not in camp with the Eagles to sign with their practice squad. Reiger was just in for a tryout with the Eagles and now the team is bringing him in off the edge.
Besides those moves, everyone else was kind of expected to return, so the Eagles were able to bring back most of the players they wanted. That's a massive win for Roseman and the team.
There were some head scratching decisions by Roseman that had a lot of fans questioning him. That is normal to feel, but he got it right and got most of his guys back with minimum damage.

Now the focus shifts to adding a few more pieces to the practice squad. After that, the Eagles will be getting ready to play the Washington Commanders in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.
