After suffering a tough 30-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the preseason finale, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, general manager Howie Roseman, and the rest of the coaching staff and front office now must make some tough decisions for the 53-man roster.
It was an intense training camp with many position battles and storylines. There were key injuries, including Jonathan Greenard, DeVonta Smith, and Makai Lemon. Even with those, the Eagles had plenty of training camp darlings with Darius Cooper and others.
This leaves the Eagles with some tough decisions: who will make the cut, who will be waived, and which players could Philly consider from other teams? Here's a look at everything Eagles fans need to know about the process of the 53-man roster.

Notable cuts
Samori Toure, WR
Toure was a former Green Bay Packer who knew Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion when they were together. This was an expected outcome.
Carson Steele, RB
Steele had a great preseason for the Eagles, leading the team in receiving yards and scored two touchdowns. He was stuck in a crowded backfield competing with Will Shipley and Dameon Pierce for the final spot. Steele is a prime candidate for the practice squad.
Myles Hinton, OL
Hinton was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Over that last year plus, Hinton has not done much for the team in terms of depth. This is one of failed late round Eagles offensive linemen who did not work out for them.
Shaun Wade, CB
After his run in the UFL with the Dallas Renegades earlier in the year, Wade played well in the preseason. He forced a fumble in each of the first two games. Ultimately, he joined the team too late to make as big of an impact as he had hoped.

Dameon Pierce, RB
Pierce was gone for most of training camp, but finally came back for the preseason finale and played well. He has four carries for 44 yards. Despite a great performance, it was too late for him, as he now looks at potentially being on the Eagles' practice squad.
