The Philadelphia Eagles have given us exactly what we expected. The Birds had a fight on their hands with the Washington Commanders in town. These age-old rivals gave it everything they had. Their 'fight' even spilled over into the end zone.

Marshon Lattimore and the Commanders will regret how the first half of this game ended regardless of how things turned out. Lattimore has given Philly fits during his career. Remember, he was the beneficiary of Nick Foles' final pass slipping through Alshon Jeffery's hands.

One drive will truly haunt them.

Marshon Lattimore and the Commanders implode vs. the Eagles during a late first-half drive.

Talk about awful plays in succession. Scrimmaging in the red zone from the Commanders' 12-yard line, Hurts missed on an end zone throw to Dallas Goedert. Lattimore commits, at best, defensive holding and, at worst, pass interference.

Neither penalty was called. That's okay! Lattimore did us a solid anyway.

A false start was called next. Facing third and 13, Hurts attacked Marshon again. Lattimore holds. This time, the flag is thrown.

Hurts scores on the Brotherly Shove from the 1-yard line. Lattimore decides, since he's losing a game, he'll try and win a fight.

This leads to a personal foul penalty. That advances the ball from the 2-yard line to the 1-yard line. Philly attempts a Brotherly Shove but is denied.

That's okay seemingly. Both teams fail to score on two-point conversions. That's a wash.

The stakes were clear. The 181st meeting between the Eagles and Commanders determined the NFC's representative in the Super Bowl. Both sides were hungry.

Philly finished strong and advanced to the NFC Championship Game.
